The wife of an arrested drug personality was also collared in a police anti-narcotics operation afternoon of October 5 at the Jaro Public Market in Iloilo City.
Members of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) Team 3 and Jaro Police Station nabbed April Jablo, wife of detained drug personality Arsap Jablo.
A police poseur buyer was able to buy P25,500 worth of suspected shabu from April.
The shabu’s street value recovered from Jablo was pegged at P50,000. It was hidden in a pack of apples.
Police claimed that Jablo was selling fruits as a front for peddling of illegal drugs.
Also seized from her were cash of P420, a mobile phone, and five apples.
Anti-narcotics police operatives have been monitoring Jablo for two weeks before she was arrested.
Based on police records, the suspect is a high value individual (HVI) level 2 at the regional level.
Jablo’s sister-in-law, former Barangay Captain Noemi Jablo of Desamparados, Jaro, was also arrested in a shabu buy bust operation on July 10, 2018.
Jablo is now detained and might join her relatives in jail once charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) will be filed against her.
