In over a month, a 35-year-old woman made her mark in the world of shoplifting.
Noevie Abilo, a resident of Barangay Mohon, Arevalo, Iloilo City, was arrested after another shoplifting try at a grocery store in San Jose Street, Pototan, Iloilo afternoon of September 21.
Abilo’s arrest on Wednesday was already her third in a span of 37 days.
The security guard of DLS Supermart allegedly caught the woman as she tried to filch packs of powdered juice.
A CCTV footage showed Abilo hiding packs of juice drink and placed them in a bag once she got out of the store.
Taken from here were 22 dozens of Tang pineapple juice packs worth P5,200.
Reports indicated that Abilo was with two male companions. However, both were not arrested.
A case for theft might be filed against Abilo, who is now detained at Pototan Police Station.
Abilo was last arrested for the same offense at a store in Pavia, Iloilo afternoon of August 24. She was also arrested in Dingle town on August 16.
In Pavia, she allegedly took a box of 100-meters TTHN/THWN stranded ROYU wires and cables worth P7,000. Her cohorts were also quick to evade arrest.
In her arrest in Dingle, Abilo even used a fictitious name – Janice Perez of Barangay San Juan, Molo, Iloilo City.
Their theft was caught on CCTV camera.
She was arrested along with Mae Jiz, 24, of Barangay San Juan, Molo.
Also arrested was taxi driver Joseph Francis Paul Apolto, 34, of Barangay South Fundidor, Molo, and Dave Buenafe, 22, of Sta. Cruz, Arevalo.
