Eduard Folayang will finally settle some unfinished business against a familiar foe in ONE Fighting Championship.
After his fight against Japanese mixed martial arts legend Yoshihiro Akiyama was scrapped due to the latter suffering an injury, Folayang will be taking on another veteran in the sport, Shinya Aoki.
Aoki and Folayang will seek to end their long-time rivalry since 2016 when the Filipino wushu master shocked the world after defeating the Japanese grappler during ONE: Defending Honor.
However, Aoki got his revenge three years later and turned the tables to his favor during ONE: A New Era via a well-executed first-round submission.
After tying their series 1-1, both fighters will finally grab the chance to write the most fitting ending to their legendary rivalry.
Folayang will try to bounce back after tasting defeat four times in his last five bouts while Aoki will continue to ride on his momentum and will enter April 29 on a three-match winning streak.
