Five unlicensed firearms surrendered

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Five unlicensed firearms were surrendered to Mambusao Municipal Police Station in Mambusao, Capiz on Monday.
Police Captain Edwin Luces, Mambusao police chief, said the firearms were turned over through village officials.
Punong Barangay Dino Labao of Barangay Bato-bato brought to the police station a .38-caliber revolver without ammunition.
Barangay Kagawad Juvy Reyes also of the same village surrendered another .38-caliber revolver.
On the other hand, Punong Barangay Joefred Sheen Jumbas of Bating yielded another revolver of the same caliber, while Barangay Kagawad Nelson Potato of Barangay Pangpang Sur surrendered a holen (marble) gun.
Meanwhile, Punong Barangay of Barangay Agtambi, Dao Capiz Marcelino Bauson surrendered to Dao Municipal Police Station a 12-gauge shotgun without ammunition.
Luces said the unlicensed guns are in the custody of Mambusao Municipal Police Station and will be turned over to the Firearms and Explosives Security Agencies and Guard Supervision division of the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) for proper disposition.
