ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Five more warrants of arrest were served to an alleged investment scam suspect who is detained at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) facility in Barangay San Jose here.
The Roxas City police served the warrants Monday to Lourdes Bulaquiña Baarde, 45, of Rio Grande Subdivision, Barangay Baybay here.
Judge Jennie Ann Tayag Logronio of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC) Branch 1 here issued the warrants on Jan. 30, 2023.
The court recommended a P12,000 bail for each count.
Baarde was arrested by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-Manila after cases of syndicated estafa were filed by 68 investors, mostly professionals, of a foreign exchange investment scheme in Capiz.
She has been detained at the BJMP facility here since Nov. 19, 2019.
