Five Bacolod station commanders reshuffled

BACOLOD City – Police Colonel Noel Aliño, acting director of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), ordered the reshuffling of commanders in five police stations yesterday.

The order dated May 25, affected Police Stations 2, 4, 5, 7, and 8, the City Intelligence Unit (CIU), and the General Services Office (GSO).

Police Lieutenant Colonel Robbie Brillo, BCPO deputy city director for operations, presided over the turnover of command in rites held at the BCPO headquarters here.

Captain Paul Vincent Pendon, who just finished schooling, returned as head of Police Station 2, replacing Captain Jonito Pastrana, who was reassigned as officer-in-charge of the CIU.

Captain Greeky Cayao, head of Police Station 4, was replaced by Major Nestor Bacuyag, who was previously designated as BCPO spokesperson. Cayao was transferred to the Bacolod City Mobile Force Company (BCMFC).

Major Joery Puerto, who came from the CIU, assumed the post of Police Captain Francis Depasucat, head of Police Station 5, while the latter remains as assistant station commander.

Captain Andy Ofalia, who was a former deputy commander of Police Station 6, was designated as officer-in-charge of Police Station 7, replacing Captain Edward Bolivar, who was reassigned to BCMFC.

Captain Glenn Montaño, head of Police Station 8 was transferred to GSO. His vacated post was assumed by Captain Melvin Mercado, who was previously assigned as deputy commander of Police Station 5.

Lieutenant Colonel Bonifacio Ancajas Jr., was designated public information officer (PIO) of BCPO, replacing Lieutenant Colonel Sherlock Gabana.

Meanwhile, Aliño said the reshuffling was part of the normal procedure, considering that some commanders already finished their investigation officer basic course, which is a compliance to lead a police station.
