Five persons were arrested for playing a card game afternoon of June 24, 2020 in Mina, Iloilo.
Police identified the suspects as Ronald Mallo Y Corneta, 39; Ronnie Defensor, 47; Romeo Mallorca, 56; Delia Corneta, 60; and Beverly Jalando-on, 21. All are residents of Barangay Tolarucan, Mina.
Members of Mina Police Station stormed the gambling place around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and caught the five playing tong-its.
Recovered from the scene were two sets of playing cards, two tables, chairs, and cash of P510.
The suspects are now detained at the lock-up cell of Mina Police Station and will be charged for violation of Presidential Decree 1602 (Providing Stiffer Penalties on Illegal Gambling).
