Fishpond caretaker killed in Capiz shooting

A 43-year-old fishpond caretaker was shot dead on the afternoon of September 14 in Pontevedra, Capiz.
Police identified the victim as Charlie Beseo, a resident of Barangay Solo, Pontevedra.
Reports indicated that Beseo was traveling through Barangay Hipona on his customized tricycle when a motorcycle-riding assailant shot him in the head.
The gunman fled in the direction of Pres. Roxas town.
Members of the Pontevedra Emergency Response Team rushed Beseo to Bailan District Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Investigators recovered a fired cartridge from an unknown caliber firearm at the crime scene. Police have yet to determine the motive for the killing, and no person of interest has been identified in connection with Beseo’s death.
