ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A fisherman from Roxas City died from accidental drowning Wednesday afternoon while fishing in Pilar, Capiz.
Fellow fishers failed to save Leohel Antulos of Sitio Puting Balas, Brgy. Culasi here.
Police Corporal Jaypee Tomogda of Pilar PNP said they were informed by the punong barangay of Dayhagan regarding the incident.
Investigation indicated that Antulos accidentally slipped into the water while releasing his fishing net.
His fellow fishermen searched and found him after 30 minutes.
He was immediately taken to the nearest hospital but he was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
