DUMALAG, Capiz A male fish vendor was arrested by the police in a drug buy-bust operation evening of Feb 28, 2019 by the Dumalag Municipal Police Station and Philippine Drug and Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Barangay Santo Angel here.
Police identified the suspect as Nelson Nicolas, 22, of Brgy. Tiza, Roxas City and temporarily residing in Brgy. Sto. Angel here.
According to Senior Inspector Pedro Goldino Diocson, Dumalag police chief, Nicolas keeps popping up in their intelligence reports on the illegal drug trade in the town.
After validation of the intelligence reports and monitoring, the police conducted the bust resulting in the confiscation of three sachets of suspected shabu and P1,000 marked money.
Nicolas denied that he was into the illegal drugs trade. He is presently detained at the Dumalag police station.
