ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A three-storey commercial establishment was burned Monday morning at Poblacion Ilawod Pontevedra, Capiz.
The Bureau of Fire Protection of Pontevedra Fire Station is still investigating the cause of the fire that hit JR Marketing owned by Juno Tan at Isagani Street.
No one was hurt in the conflagration that started 10:58 pm Sunday and was quelled past 2 am Monday.
Reports said firefighters had a hard time quelling the fire as the water coming from their hoses were being blown away by strong winds due to typhoon Quinta.
Observers said that the fire easily spread because of the combustible items being sold by the owner.
The establishment sold appliances on the first floor, plastic wares on the second floor, and clothing on the third floor.
