ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A house made of mixed concrete materials was completely destroyed in a fire Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 4, in Barangay Agloway, Panitan, Capiz.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Panitan identified the homeowner as a resident known only by the alias Gema.
The BFP said it received the fire alarm at around 3:51 p.m. and responded immediately. Firefighters were able to declare the fire under control by 4:05 p.m.
According to the BFP’s operational report, the estimated damage caused by the blaze was around PHP 14,000.
Arson investigators are still looking into the incident to determine the cause of the fire.
No one was hurt, as the occupants were reportedly not home when the fire broke out.
