ROXAS CITY, Capiz– Four houses were totally burned Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021, in Pontevedra and Dumalag towns in Capiz.
The fire reduced to ashes the houses of Judy Berberio Sr., and Mary Jane Berberio, and a certain “Kapid” and a certain “Dodoy” all of Sitio Hacienda Brgy. Sublangon in Pontevedra.
An unplugged TV set and flashlight of the Berberio couple is believed to have caused the fire that quickly spread to adjacent houses.
Meanwhile, the house of Jose Remy Felasol Fatiga, 33, an auto mechanic at Sitio Tagaytag, Brgy. Sto. Rosario, Dumalag was also razed to the ground.
The arson investigator of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Dumalag said the fire’s cause might be electrical in nature.
