BACOLOD City – A fire razed seven houses at Purok 4, Magsungay, Barangay Singcang-Airport here Wednesday morning.
According to Chief Inspector Publio Ploteña, city fire marshal, the fire broke out from a two-storey house of a certain “Javier” around 11:54 a.m.
Four houses were destroyed while three others were damaged, Ploteña said.
The houses are made of mixed concrete and light materials, he added.
Ploteña said the damaged properties were initially valued at P300,000.
Arson investigators have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
No injuries were reported. The fire was quelled an hour later.
Barangay Captain Rosinie Distrito and the city government of Bacolod have already extended assistance to the affected households.
