Fire Destroys Roxas City Home, PHP43,000 Lost

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A fire of unknown origin destroyed a house and caused an estimated PHP43,000 in property damage early on May 23 in Sitio Tunga, Barangay Banica.
FO3 Andre John R. Beliber, arson investigator at the Roxas City Fire Station, said the house, owned by Merito Biclar and made of light materials, was completely burned.
He added that the rear portion of Biclar’s car, which was parked beside the house, was also damaged.
Investigators are still determining the cause of the fire.
No one was home at the time, as the occupants were on vacation.
