Fire Destroys PHP300K Worth of Property in Capiz

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A fire destroyed PHP300,000 worth of property on Sunday evening, December 8, in Barangay Bayuyan, President Roxas, Capiz, leaving a house completely gutted but fortunately causing no injuries.
The blaze consumed the house of Melchor Dorado, which was made of mixed materials. The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in President Roxas reported that the fire started around 6:45 p.m. from a nipa hut located near the house.
Strong winds quickly spread the flames, which fully engulfed the structure.
Firefighters, with the assistance of fire volunteers, managed to declare the fire out by 7:41 p.m.
An arson investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
