BACOLOD CITY – A fire razed nine houses and caused P100,000 worth of damage at Purok Malinong, Barangay Tangub, on Sunday night.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Bacolod, the blaze broke out from the house of Larry Lorimas around 8:15 p.m.
Seven houses were destroyed, while two others were partially damaged.
Arson investigators are initially considering an open flame from firewood used in cooking as the cause of the fire.
The BFP reported that the fire started from a clay burner on the ground floor of Lorimas’s house, which is adjacent to a mall.
The fire was declared out at 8:43 p.m. No injuries were reported.
