Filipino FC 27 players chase Miami finals berth
Filipino EA SPORTS FC 27 players can now compete for a chance to represent the Philippines at the Red Bull Wings Cup World Finals in Miami, with qualifiers open to players from universities and the wider gaming community.
The new competition, organized in partnership with EA SPORTS and PlayStation, spans almost 80 countries and gives players of varying skill levels a pathway from local qualifiers to an international championship.
For Philippine esports players, the tournament offers another route to global competition, with the eventual national champion earning the opportunity to face qualifiers from around the world in Miami in early 2027.
The Red Bull Wings Cup World Finals will be held at Inter Miami’s Nu Stadium and will combine competitive EA SPORTS FC 27 gameplay with real-life football experiences.
The winner will become the inaugural Red Bull Wings Cup champion.
Players begin their qualification journey through either the University League or the Open League.
The University League is open to currently enrolled university students competing on PlayStation 5 consoles in on-campus qualifiers across Metro Manila and Cebu.
University League competitors will play EA SPORTS FC 27 Rush against students from participating campuses.
The University League runs from Sept. 28 to Oct. 16, 2026.
The Open League, meanwhile, allows players to compete online through PlayStation Tournaments using their own squads on PlayStation 5 consoles.
Open League participants will compete in EA SPORTS FC 27 Ultimate Team.
The Open League is scheduled for Oct. 17 to 18, 2026.
The tournament is open to Philippine residents aged 18 and above regardless of skill level, subject to applicable local terms and conditions.
Top performers from the Open and University leagues will advance to the Philippine National Finals on Nov. 7, 2026, at Matchpoint Sportsbar.
Eligible national champions will earn the right to represent the Philippines at the World Finals in Miami against competitors from participating countries worldwide.
The Red Bull Wings Cup is organized in partnership with EA SPORTS and PlayStation Tournaments.
