Filipina skater Margielyn Didal became the 10th athlete from the Philippines to grab a seat at the Tokyo Olympics.
Tournament officials in-charge of skateboarding released the final top 20 lineup who made it and will officially banner their country next month.
The prized Filipina skater managed to hold on until the semifinals round of the last Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT).
Didal’s last hoorah in the OQT was a splendid run after casting solid scores from the judges despite failing to make it into the final round.
The 22-year-old sensation recently made her way into the top 20 world ranking of women’s skateboarding that boosted her chances of qualifying.
Furthermore, Didal continued to join various Olympic-sanctioned international tournaments that boosted her points heading into the final OQT.
Didal joins Carlos Yulo, EJ Obiena, Eumir Marcial, Carlo Paalam, Irish Magno Nesthy Petecio, Hidilyn Diaz, Kurt Barbosa, and Chris Nievares.
