Filipina basketball sensation Jack Animam isn’t done with her overseas stint after getting signed by Serbian basketball club Radnicki Kragujevac.
Animam will be suiting up in the First Women’s Basketball League of Serbia and was made official after her managers in East West Private (EWP) announced the decision.
The six-foot-two post-player from Malolos, Bulacan didn’t stop her grind and continued to hone her craft overseas under the supervision of world-renowned basketball agency EWP where Kobe Paras, Kai Sotto, Cholo Anonuevo, and other basketball superstars are also under.
Animam also had a stellar stint in Taiwan after leading the Shih Hsin University to an undefeated season capped off with a sweet championship.
The Filipina was a beast during her stint in Taiwan, recording double-double performances in every game including the championship game.
After turning heads in Taiwan, Animam decided to sign with EWP and would participate in their camp drills together with Paras and Anonuevo.
Now that another chapter is about to unfold in Animam’s career, the young Filipina hooper hopes this road she is taking will become an inspiration to the future and younger generation.
“I’m not doing this for myself but I’m doing this also for the young girls. We know that there’s not much support for women’s basketball in the Philippines. I’m hoping that I can inspire all athletes that even though that there is a pandemic, kahit anong hadlang, it doesn’t matter for as long as you want it,” said Animam.
