Cholo Anonuevo, a 6’4’’ FEU Tamaraw forward, decided to head to the US and sign with East West Private to further develop his game and participate in private gym workouts.
East West Private, the same agency of NBA G-League draftee Kai Sotto, will take over Anonuevo’s training sessions in Ohio.
The athletic forward steered the FEU Baby Tamaraws to a third-place finish during the last UAAP Season where he averaged an impressive 9.1 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.1 steals in 26 minutes of playing time.
His impressive UAAP season caught the attention of some schools all over the PH but the high-leaping Baby Tamaraw chose to develop his game outside the country.
However, Anonuevo said that playing for coach Nash Racela and the FEU community is still his top priority, and will return to the team once his stint with the East West Private is finished.
“There are actually a lot of options for him this coming year and FEU is still one of them, but right now, his focus is to get better and take advantage of this opportunity that East West Private has given him,” said Racela.
