FedEx has partnered once again with Philippine-based NGO Mori Notes to transform retired courier uniforms into sustainable gifts for customers, reinforcing the company’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
Now in its fifth year, the collaboration repurposed 300 decommissioned courier shirts into 200 gadget pouches and 200 neck pillows, continuing FedEx’s drive to reduce textile waste and support a circular economy.
“This initiative reflects FedEx’s commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement,” the company said in a statement.
The upcycled items were distributed as gifts to customers, combining functionality and eco-conscious messaging in line with FedEx’s broader sustainability goals.
“At FedEx, we are committed to advancing sustainability across our operations and creating opportunities within the communities we serve,” said Maribeth Espinosa, managing director of FedEx Philippines.
Mori Notes, a local NGO known for its innovative approach to upcycling, has collaborated with FedEx since 2020. Previous projects include converting 300 old courier pants and 50 shirts into 600 handcrafted journals and 100 handwoven pouches.
In addition to textile upcycling, FedEx donates wooden pallets and plastic waste to partner organizations that repurpose them, helping reduce landfill waste and environmental pollution.
The initiative aligns with broader corporate efforts, including the development of digital tools that reduce paper and energy consumption. Among them is FedEx Ship Manager, an online tool designed to streamline shipping processes.

FedEx has also rolled out FedEx® Sustainability Insights, a cloud-based carbon emissions reporting tool that provides customers with historical emissions data on their shipments. This tool helps businesses make environmentally conscious shipping decisions.
The initiative contributes to FedEx’s global priority of achieving carbon-neutral operations by 2040, part of a multi-billion-dollar investment in sustainability, fleet electrification, and carbon capture technologies.
