A father and his teenage son were arrested during a police raid early morning of June 16 in San Joaquin, Iloilo.
Authorities identified the suspects only as alias Dodong, 53, and alias Nonoy, 17, both residents of Sitio Imbidayan, Barangay Sinugbuhan.
The operation was conducted by members of the 1st Iloilo Police Mobile Force Company, along with the San Joaquin Municipal Police Station and the Provincial Intelligence Team-Iloilo.
Police served a search warrant issued on June 11, 2025, by the executive judge of the 6th Regional Trial Court Branch 67 in Guimbal, Iloilo.
Led by Lt. Col. Ariel Artillero, the raiding team recovered a homemade long-barrel shotgun without a serial number and a magazine loaded with five rounds.
The operation stemmed from reports that the suspects had repeatedly brandished a firearm in public.

Residents also accused them of harassment and intimidation.
Further investigation revealed that Dodong was the primary suspect in a fatal shooting incident in November 2024 in the same village.
He was previously released on bail in connection with that case.
Dodong is now in police custody while formal charges are being prepared.
Nonoy has been turned over to the San Joaquin Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office for proper handling.
