Father, son die from electrocution in Passi

A father and his son died after they were electrocuted on the morning of June 16 in Passi City, Iloilo.
The victims were identified as alias “Jonio,” 64, and alias “Denmark,” 39, both residents of Barangay Imbang Grande, Passi City.
The incident reportedly started while Jonio was fixing a wire connected to their electric pump.
When Jonio appeared to have suffered an electric shock, Denmark came to his rescue.
Denmark was also electrocuted.
Family members brought the victims to Don Valerio Palmares Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Passi City.
Jonio was declared dead on arrival, while Denmark was pronounced dead 15 minutes later.
Lt. Col. German Magbanua, Passi City police chief, said the incident was reported only at 3 p.m. the same day.
By then, the victims’ bodies had already been brought to Chavez Funeral Home in Passi City.
