Father hacks sons out of drunkenness

ROXAS CITY, Capiz— A man died while his older brother was seriously injured in a hacking incident Wednesday evening at Sitio Ulang in Barangay Sibariwan, Dumarao, Capiz.
The police identified the fatality as Michael Sulleta, 30; while his older brother Ricky was wounded.
Investigation by Dumarao Municipal Police Station indicated that the suspect is the victims’ father Ricodeo, 57.
The Sulletas were drinking liquor in the house of a relatives when a heated argument ensued between them.
The father invited his two sons to go home as they were already drunk, but Michael refused.
The irate and drunk father then drew a bolo and hacked Michael’s head.
Ricky was injured in his foot after he tried to pacify his father.
Michael was declared dead at the Dao District Hospital.
The father voluntarily surrendered to the Dumarao police after the incident.
