ROXAS CITY, Capiz— A 26-year-old farmer was stabbed to death in a funeral wake Tuesday evening at Barangay Roxas, Tapaz, Capiz.
Rondily Tupaz, temporarily residing at Roxas village, was taken to Tapaz District Hospital due to stab wounds inflicted by Raymond Gardose, 30, of Barangay Agpapali, Tapaz.
Doctors referred Tupaz to a hospital in Iloilo City but he died while on the way.
Police investigation indicated Tupaz and Gardose drinking liquor while playing cards in the wake of a relative when a heated argument ensued between them.
The suspect then drew a knife and stabbed the victim in the chest.
Police launched manhunt operations against the suspect who immediately fled after the incident.
