Farmer shot dead in Tapaz
ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 49-year-old farmer was shot dead Sunday evening by an unidentified suspect at Sitio Agpipili, Barangay San Nicolas, Tapaz Capiz. ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 49-year-old farmer was shot dead Sunday evening by an unidentified suspect at Sitio Agpipili, Barangay San Nicolas, Tapaz Capiz.
Police identified the victim as Ruperto Escala Morales of said place.
Investigation by Tapaz Municipal Police Station indicated that Morales was on his way home around 8:45 pm when the suspect blocked his path and shot him without any provocation.
The victim sustained fatal gunshot wounds in the chest and was immediately taken to Tapaz District Hospital by relatives but he was declared dead on arrival by the attending doctor.
The suspect fled and remains at large.
Police are still facing a blank wall on the identity of the suspect as no one witnessed the incident.
