Farmer shot dead in Dumarao
ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 34-year-old farmer was shot dead Sunday evening at Barangay Tina, Dumarao town. Police identified the victim as Noel Sarceno. Investigation by Police Staff Sergeant Jomar Bernabe of Dumarao Municipal Police Station indicated that Sarceno was drunk when he visited the wake of his second cousin.

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 34-year-old farmer was shot dead Sunday evening at Barangay Tina, Dumarao town.
Police identified the victim as Noel Sarceno.
Investigation by Police Staff Sergeant Jomar Bernabe of Dumarao Municipal Police Station indicated that Sarceno was drunk when he visited the wake of his second cousin.
The victim then drew an unidentified caliber of firearm and pointed it at Nestor Venecio and Razel Acejo, who were also at the wake.
Sarceno squeezed the trigger but the gun went dud.
The victim then hurriedly left the wake, but he was shot by unidentified persons a few meters away from the house.
Sarceno succumbed to gunshot wounds at Sara District Hospital in Iloilo.
Police recovered from the scene a homemade 12-guage shotgun, a live bullet, 5 cartridges of caliber .45 ammunition, and a deformed slug of unidentified caliber of firearm.
The suspects remain at large.
