Farmer nabbed over rape raps

A farmer who was accused of sexually molesting his kin was arrested early morning of Aug 2 in Passi City, Iloilo.
Police nabed 41-year-old Ronald Porcal at his home at Sitio Agpa, Barangay Jaguimitan, Passi City around 5:50 a.m. of Tuesday.
Lieutenant Colonel Dennis Pamonag, Passi City police chief, said Porcal appeared not surprised when members of the Passi Component City Police Station and the 2nd Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company served the arrest warrant to him.
Porcal was accused of rape and lascivious conduct under section 5 (B) of Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act).
Judge Vicente Villa Go of the Regional Trial Court Branch 68 in Dumangas, Iloilo, issued the arrest warrant on July 20, 2022.
Bail for his temporary liberty was fixed at P108,000 for the lascivious conduct charge and P200,000 for the rape case.
Pamonag said the cases against the suspect were filed February 2022.
His family left him following the incident.
The accused is at the custody of Passi Component PNP for proper disposition of his case.
