ROXAS CITY, Capiz— A 54-year-old farmer was hacked and shot to death by eight suspects Wednesday morning at Barangay Agpalali in Tapaz, Capiz.
Police identified the victim as Lornalee Gallenero of said place.
According to Police Senior Master Sergeant Rocer Garde, Tapaz PNP investigator, one of the suspects identified as Ariel Olog, 23, of Brgy. Roxas Tapaz, entered Gallenero’s house and repeatedly shot the victim with a 12-gauge shotgun.
Not contented, another suspect appeared and repeatedly hacked the victim.
Police said Gallenero’s death might be a case of revenge killing.
It was learned that Olog’s nephew was found dead last week at Sitio Malansa, Barangay Abangay in Tapaz.
Recovered from the crime scene were seven empty shells of 13-gauge ammunition.
