ROXAS CITY, Capiz— A 38-year-old farmer was hacked to death afternoon of July 28, 2019 at Brgy. Alasaging, Maayon, Capiz.
The suspect in the grisly death of Marlon Villasin, 38, is Alfredo Villanueva, 56, the father of another farmer whom the former also hacked.
Both the victim and suspect are residents of Alasaging.
Based on the investigation by Maayon Municipal Police Station, Villasin went to Villanueva’s house and challenged the former to a fight.
But the suspect’s son came in to pacify Villasin and Villanueva.
Villasin then drew a bolo and hacked the suspect’s son on the hand.
The suspect got angry and retaliated by hacking the victim in the head, face and neck.
Villanueva voluntarily surrendered to the police and is presently detained at the lock up cell of Maayon police station.
The victim was drunk when the incident happened.
