BACOLOD CITY — A 46-year-old farmer died after being gored by his own carabao in Crossing Martisan, Barangay Burgos, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, on Monday.
Police said the victim was feeding the animal when it suddenly turned aggressive and attacked him.
He sustained serious chest injuries and was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Authorities noted it was the first time the carabao exhibited such behavior.
Police speculated that the sudden change in weather may have triggered the animal’s aggression.
The incident was reported by the victim’s wife to the police on Tuesday afternoon.
