ROXAS CITY—A 58-year-old farmer died after he was trapped and burned inside his house Thursday evening at Sitio Aligitgit, Barangay Sto. Angel, Dumalag, Capiz.
The badly charred body of Noel Fabuna was found inside what remained of his house right after the fire.
Investigation by local authorities indicated that Fabuna was sleeping alone in his house when the fire erupted around 8:30 p.m.
It was learned that the victim was drunk when he went to sleep.
FO1 Arvin Ebron, arson investigator of Dumalag BFP, has yet to establish the cause of fire and the extent of damage.
But residents believed it came from a lighted lamp which the victim failed to put off before he went to sleep.
