ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A 28-year-old farmer was arrested by police after unlicensed firearms and ammunition were recovered during the implementation of a search warrant Monday morning, May 18, in Barangay Santa Ana, Tapaz, Capiz.
Police identified the suspect as alias “Adoy,” a resident of the barangay.
Recovered from his house were one .45-caliber Colt M1911 A1 U.S. Army pistol with a serial number, one magazine with four live rounds of ammunition, and one black holster.
The search warrant was issued by Regional Trial Court Executive Judge Rommel L. Leonor of Branch 21 in Mambusao, Capiz, on May 13, 2026.
The suspect is under the custody of the Tapaz Municipal Police Station, while charges for violation of Republic Act No. 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, will be filed against him.
