Farm Caretaker Shot Dead in Bago City

BACOLOD CITY—A 32-year-old farm caretaker was shot dead on Saturday at Purok Masulhay, Barangay Ma-ao, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
The victim, identified only as alias “Potot,” was reportedly having a drinking session with a companion at a motor shop near the highway when the incident occurred.
According to the investigation, the victim’s cousin was seen running toward them after being waylaid by two suspects.
The victim confronted the suspects, but one of them shot him in the body.
He was rushed to Bago City Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police are investigating the motive behind the shooting.
