Ex-traffic enforcer nabbed in drug sting

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A former traffic enforcer of the Roxas City Traffic Management Unit (TMU) was arrested Wednesday in a drug buy-bust operation by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Capiz at Sitio Tunga in Barangay Tanque here.
The suspect, King William Arcangeles of the said village, is a “High Value Individual (HVI)” on the police Drugs Watchlist.
Recovered from Arcangeles were 9 sachets of suspected shabu valued at P100,000.
The suspect is presently in the custody of the Roxas Component City Police Station while charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) will be filed against him.
Police records indicated that Arcangeles was shot by an unidentified suspect in Magallanes Street here late last year. The gunman remains at large while the motive has not been ascertained.
