Ex-Molo PNP chief Inot tapped to head Pavia police
By Jennifer P. Rendon
ILOILO CITY – Police Capt. Ryan Christ Inot has been assigned to lead the Pavia Municipal Police Station in Iloilo province following his relief as chief of Iloilo City Police Station 4 (ICPS 4) in Molo.
Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) Director Col. Bayani Razalan said Inot’s reassignment to Pavia was prompted by the relief of Maj. Bonifacio Alabe Jr., who previously headed the municipal police station.
Alabe reportedly requested a table of organization (TO) position from the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) in preparation for his eventual promotion.
When a vacant position became available at the Guimaras Police Provincial Office (GPPO), Alabe requested his reassignment.
Razalan, meanwhile, clarified that Inot’s appointment as Pavia police chief would still require the concurrence of Mayor Laurence Anthony “Luigi” Gorriceta.
“Na-timing lang na Pavia ang open when Captain Inot was assigned to IPPO,” he said.
Inot was officially relieved as chief of ICPS 4 in Molo on Nov. 5, 2026, following an order issued by PRO-6.
Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) Director Col. Wilbert Parilla said he was not surprised by Inot’s relief, noting that he had discussed the matter with PRO-6 Director Brig. Gen. Randulf Tuaño in October.
Parilla also clarified that Inot’s relief was unrelated to the controversies involving the former Molo police chief.
Inot is facing administrative charges of grave misconduct and grave neglect of duty following an investigation by the National Police Commission 6 into a July 1 operation at the Molo police station conducted by the Philippine National Police Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group.
The administrative proceedings remain separate from his reassignment, which police officials maintain was part of regular personnel movements.
