Ex-inmate shot dead

BACOLOD City – A man who was previously jailed for a drug offense was gunned down by two unidentified men on a motorcycle at Saint Martin Subdivision, Barangay 21, Victorias City, Negros Occidental last Saturday. Police identified the victim as Eric Detoyato, 38, of the said village, an alleged drug personality.

BACOLOD City – A man who was previously jailed for a drug offense was gunned down by two unidentified men on a motorcycle at Saint Martin Subdivision, Barangay 21, Victorias City, Negros Occidental last Saturday.
Police identified the victim as Eric Detoyato, 38, of the said village, an alleged drug personality.
Investigation indicated that Detoyato was riding a tricycle on his way home from work when the perpetrators shot him.
The suspects then fled, leaving behind Detoyato with fatal gunshot wounds in his body and head.
Police recovered from the scene four empty shells of .45 caliber ammunition.
Police are still checking if the incident was captured by a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera.
Detoyato’s case is the latest in the series of shooting incidents targeting persons with links to the illegal drug trade.
