ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A former inmate was arrested anew in a drug buy-bust operation conducted Saturday afternoon, April 12, by the Roxas City Police Station on McKinley Street, Barangay 1.
Police identified the suspect as alias “Arjohn,” 26, a resident of the said barangay.
Recovered from the suspect were three sachets of suspected shabu and PHP1,500 in marked buy-bust money.
The suspect was previously jailed for a homicide case in 2016 and was released in 2018.
He is currently detained at the Roxas City Police Station, and charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against him.
Police said the suspect denied involvement in the illegal drug trade but admitted to using drugs due to depression.
