ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A former inmate is back in jail following his arrest Monday afternoon in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by police at Brgy. Punta Tabuc here.
The Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of the Capiz Police Provincial Office led the bust against Jude Thaddeus Roxas, 51, of Rizal Street in Barangay 7 here.
They recovered from Roxas five sachets of suspected shabu and the marked money.
The operation was witnessed by barangay officials led by Punong Barangay Nestor Buenviaje.
Police said Roxas was arrested in 2021 for the same offense but he was released in March 2023 after he availed of a plea bargaining agreement.
Police later learned that he returned to selling drugs, which he denied although he admitted using them.
Roxas is detained at the Roxas Component City Police Station and will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
