BACOLOD City – A man who was previously arrested for illegal drug charges is back in jail after he was busted with 12 grams of suspected shabu worth P81,000 at City Heights, Barangay Taculing here yesterday.
Police Captain Francis Depasucat, head of Police Station 5, identified the subject as Remy Juelo, 42, of Barangay Mandalagan here.
Depasucat said Juelo is an alleged street level individual, considering the small volume of illegal drugs recovered from him.
Police also confiscated from him an improvised tooter, the P300 marked money, and a motorcycle he allegedly used in delivering the contraband.
Depasucat said Juelo was released from jail in 2021 after he applied for probation.
But he allegedly continued engaging in the illegal drug trade due to poverty, according to the station commander.
Depasucat said that it took them a few months to monitor the suspect’s illegal activity.
He said the suspect refused to reveal his source and the areas where he would usually deliver the illegal drugs. “Indi siya maghambal kay kulbaan man siya for his safety,” he added.
But the station commander said that they will continue to probe him.
