BACOLOD City – A woman, who has been jailed twice, is back again behind bars after she was busted by police with 62 grams of suspected shabu worth P421,600 at Purok Kagaykay, Barangay 2 here last Wednesday.
The subject was identified as Celeste Panaligan, 45, of the said village.
Police Captain Joven Mogato, head of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), said that Panaligan was arrested by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for visiting a drug den in 2008.
She was released two years later and was again arrested in 2017 for conspiracy in the illegal drug trade, according to Mogato.
She was released from jail in December last year through plea bargaining, Mogato said.
Also confiscated from her during the drug bust were the P1,000 marked money, and P40.
Mogato said the suspect is a high-value individual.
