BACOLOD City – A former drug offender is back in jail after she was arrested along with her companion in a buy-bust operation that yielded 70 grams of suspected shabu worth P476,000 at Purok Cheriza 1, Barangay 27 here yesterday.
The subject of the operation was identified as Normalyn De Asis, 54, while her companion was Almer Doloso, 37, both residents of the said village.
Operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) also confiscated from them the P1,000 marked money and P200.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Sherlock Gabana, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), said that De Asis was arrested in a drug bust in 2014 but she was released from jail in 2019 through plea bargaining.
Gabana said that De Asis is a high-value individual, while Doloso is a street-level individual who serves as the former’s alleged drug runner.
Drug charges are being readied against the two suspects who are detained at Police Station 4.
