ROXAS CITY, Capiz – An ex-convict and alleged member of a gun-running group was arrested by members of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG-Capiz) Thursday morning for illegal possession of firearms.
Adelberto Dario of this city was collared during a raid on his house by a CIDG team under Police Major Arthemius A. Devaras.
Dario was jailed before for homicide.
The search was authorized by Search Warrant No. 12-2019 issued by Regional Trial Court Executive Judge Ignacio I. Alajar on Oct. 14, 2019.
Confiscated from the suspect’s house were a shotgun with magazine assembly and ammunitions and a calibre .38 revolver with live ammunitions. The suspect failed to present valid papers for the guns.
Dario will he charged for violating the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunitions Regulation Act.
