Ex-convict, drug personality nabbed in drug sting

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two persons were arrested in separate drug buy bust operations conducted by the police.

On Thursday afternoon, the Station Drugs Enforcement Team of the Roxas City PNP station collared Albert Joseph Torres, 32, an ex-convict, in a drug buy bust operation at New Road Banica here.

Torres yielded 10 sachets of suspected shabu with street market value of P156,000; a .38-caliber revolver with four live ammunitions; 2 improvised tooters; and the P1,000 marked money.

The police said the suspect bought drugs from Raymund Galicto and John Michael Labesora who were previously arrested at Pueblo de Panay in Brgy Lawaan also for selling narcotics.

Meanwhile, police in Mambusao town also arrested Friday morning Kay John Potato Rufino, 27, of Poblacion Mambusao, Capiz.

Recovered from Rufino were 4 sachets of suspected shabu valued at P8,000; and the P1,000 marked money. The operation was conducted by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Mambusao police.
