ROXAS CITY, Capiz— A former Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (CAFGU) member was seriously wounded after he was stabbed by an active CAFGU member Thursday afternoon at Brgy. Agcococ, Tapaz, Capiz.
Police identified the victim as Nepthaly Catamin, 37, while the suspect was identified as Sweden Gevero, 35, also a farmer and member of the said paramilitary unit.
Investigation by the Tapaz Municipal Police Station indicated that Catamin was on his way home when he met Gevero who drove a motorcycle.
Catamin allegedly punched Gevero, prompting the latter to stab his abdomen.
The suspect hurriedly left to an unknown direction.
Catamin was allegedly drunk when the incident happened. The victim was taken to Tapaz district hospital and later transferred to Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital here for further treatment.
Gevero remains at large.
