BACOLOD City – Two persons were shot dead in separate incidents in two Negros provinces last Sunday.
In Negros Occidental, Paul Tejam, 40, of Barangay San Teodoro, Binalbagan town was gunned down by two unidentified motorcycle-riding assailants in Barangay San Pedro.
Investigation indicated that Tejam was driving a motorcycle along with his niece when the perpetrators overtook and shot him.
The victim was hit in his left shoulder, neck, and jaw. He was rushed to Binalbagan Infirmary but was declared dead on arrival.
Police recovered from the scene two fired cartridge cases, and a fired slug of suspected. 45 caliber ammunition.
In Negros Oriental, Lander Garde, 45, of Barangay Trinidad, Guihulngan City was killed by four unidentified armed men in the said village.
Garde, a former member of the Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (Cafgu),
was walking on his way to his neighbor, when he was waylaid by the perpetrators and was shot.
Police recovered from the scene 14 fired cartridges of .45 caliber ammunition, and a fired cartridge of .9mm caliber ammunition.
Police are still probing both incidents.
