BACOLOD City – Police are urging witnesses to surface and help in the investigation on the killing of a former member of the Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Unit (Cafgu) in Barangay Amdus, Ayungon, Negros Oriental last Sunday.
Major Fortunato Villafuerte, Ayungon town police chief, identified the victim as Teotimo Sisoy Jr., 47, of Barangay Cabang, Jimalalud town.
Based on the investigation, the victim was riding his motorcycle when he was shot by four unidentified persons on board two motorcycles.
Villafuerte said the victim was found lying next to his motorcycle when police responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to a hospital but he was declared dead on arrival.
Recovered by police from the crime scene were six fired bullets of .45 caliber ammunition.
Police have yet to establish the motive of the incident.
