The turnover signified the official transfer of responsibility and authorized use of the data.
Through the CBMS, the local government unit gains access to comprehensive and disaggregated data that can guide resource allocation, identify priority sectors, and design targeted interventions responsive to the needs of its constituents.
The CBMS is an organized, technology-based system for collecting, processing, and validating disaggregated data for local planning, program implementation, and impact monitoring, according to the PSA.
The turnover signified a collaborative effort between the PSA and the City of Escalante to ensure that accurate and up-to-date data are accessible to support evidence-based governance and local development planning.
This milestone marks another step toward strengthened local governance powered by accurate and reliable statistics.
PSA representatives were welcomed by City Planning and Development Coordinator Atty. Shiela May Inumerables, EnP, who led the receiving of the flash drive containing the 2024 CBMS data files, the notarized DTA, and the signed acknowledgment receipt.
The data were officially delivered by representatives of PSA Negros Occidental, led by Statistical Specialist II Fredimar M. Gonzales and Information Systems Analyst I Benjie Lee P. Serinas.
