The Technology Promotion Mentorship Series was organized by the Regional Agri-Aqua Innovation System Enhancement (RAISE) Program in Western Visayas through the University of the Philippines Visayas – Project 15: Regional Knowledge Management (KM) Hub (Phase 2) and held at District 21 Hotel in Iloilo City from April 20 to 22, 2026.
The three-day Technology Promotion Mentorship Series was led by Asst. Prof. Rhea J. Subong-Espina, project leader of RAISE Program Western Visayas – Project 15 (KM), under the RAISE Program Western Visayas headed by Dr. Efren I. Linan, program leader.
The invited resource speakers were Ms. Khalel Czarine Tanalgo, training and research development associate at QualiMed Hospital Iloilo; Ms. Angela Castor, sales manager at FutureSmart Resources + Strategies Inc.; and Ms. Gerthrode Charlotte Tan-Mabilog, director of the Information and Publications Office and faculty member of the Division of Professional Education, University of the Philippines Visayas.
The topics covered included technology promotion and marketing, digital marketing, information, education and communication (IEC) development, pitching and the creation of pitch decks, and the development of technology communication plans and action plans.
A series of workshops followed the discussions.
The three-day training aimed to support technology promotion, innovation dissemination, and stakeholder engagement in the agri-aqua sector by strengthening and institutionalizing a regional knowledge management system.
The Technology Promotion Mentorship Series was attended by selected representatives from Consortia Member Institutions (CMIs) that have developed agri-aqua technologies with strong commercialization potential. (Written by Mary Arvic Dolendo/IPO)
